Scientists Ana Silva and Bettina Tassino were recently interviewed by the newspaper La Diaria and advanced results of their research on human chronobiology. For their work they collected data on students that participated in the Summer Schools on Initiation to the Antarctic Research realized on 2014 and 2016 at the Artigas Base, and students from High School Nº 10 .
They pointed out that while results of experiments carried out in Antarctica are still being processed, they had the chance to study the adaptation of different chronotypes in an environment where there are 20 hours of light during summer. This initial study derived in the study of the academic performance of high school students “... in which the clocks are more inclined towards the night“.
